Hi guys, I was looking at USB HD TV Tuners today entirely by accident as they have a cheap Medion unit in the Aldi catalogue. It got me thinking i really could do with one of these for watching the cricket, but on further inspection it is not mac compatible which is an issue for me. I got shown another cheapish unit () that has good reviews from choice magazine but it also appears to not be mac compatible. So i would put it to you guys, does anyone know of a decent reasonably priced mac compatible unit? If you don't care you can always try one of these. Its not that i don't care, just thinking about tossing up between what i'll use it for/how often i'll use it etc. With price points.

For the amount i will use it, it may make more sense to go a cheaper unit. Then again, i do agree the eyetv looks by far the most polished product i've seen/that has been suggested. This doesn't look too bad for what the price is.
Edit: i suppose another consideration for me is there is no way to plug it into a roof aerial where i would be using it from, so i probably am more likely to get a decent signal with a more expensive piece of hardware; but i'd hate to fork out more money buying one to find out it hardly works:/ Catch 22. I thought I would have to connect to the out door antenna, but merely placing the tiny antenna on a shelf near the iMac was sufficient to receive good reception. I tested my son's new $25 aldi medion tuner in my win 7 virtual machine, and it too had no issues with reception via the supplied antenna. I have to assume our house is in a good reception area.
